When can I actually use Fiksit?
We're building the helper pool street by street. Sign up today and you'll get one email: the day we go live in your neighbourhood. That's it. No newsletter, no noise.
Isn't this undeclared work?
No. Fiksit only launches once we're recognised as a sharing economy platform by the Belgian tax authority (FOD Financiën). We submit the application after our company (BV) is set up, and we go live as soon as the recognition comes through. Helpers then work under the sharing economy status: 10.7% withholding at source, an annual form 281.29, and a ceiling of €7,890 gross per year (2026). No VAT number or company registration needed (legal basis art. 90, 1°bis WIB 92 and the Royal Decree of 12 January 2017). Until that recognition, there are no paid bookings.
How do I know the helper is trustworthy?
Three filters for every helper: itsme verification via eID, a training module per service, manual approval by our team. We provide insurance for every job. Something off? You have 48h to file a dispute via the app.
What makes Fiksit different?
Fiksit is the fastest way to arrange help at home. Existing platforms work like a marketplace: you post a request, helpers reply with a quote, you choose. We do it differently. (1) A clear price upfront: you see your price range right away, no quote round, no bidding. (2) On-demand match within 2 hours, or plan ahead for your chosen day and time. (3) You see your helper's profile and confirm yourself. (4) One app for assembly, odd jobs, garden, lifting, and ironing.
Why we started Fiksit
Last year, we needed help with a few small jobs around the house.
- A cupboard that had been sitting in boxes for weeks, finally put together.
- A garden getting out of hand.
- Someone to help move a heavy cupboard.
But nothing really worked.
One platform made us post a request and wait for helpers to reply. Another had a four-hour minimum. We didn't need a long-term contract. We just needed someone reliable, nearby, and available when the job actually had to be done.
Facebook groups didn't feel safe. Calling around felt old-fashioned. And comparing quotes for a one-hour job made no sense.
So we started building Fiksit.
We're Sam and Mats, two brothers from Brussels who kept running into the same problem: simple home help was either too formal, too slow, or too unreliable.
Fiksit is our attempt to make small jobs feel normal again. Assembling a cupboard, a small repair, the garden or a hand with lifting, booked in 60 seconds. No quotes. No phone calls. No awkward back-and-forth.
You choose the job, see the price, book it, and a local helper gets notified.
Fiksit is for the student who wants their new cupboard assembled. For the sixty-year-old whose garden has become too much. For the busy thirty-something who is tired of losing Saturdays to chores.
